Alcohol as Sexual Lube?

Why? or Why not?

Everybody associates alcohol with bad decisions. Saying things like, “I’m never drinking again!” I know you have said or at least heard this statement being thrown around. Or you’ve been guilty of drunk dialing, calling or texting people you have no business talking to. I.E an Ex. But let’s stim away from all that negativity. What if we brought alcohol into the bedroom specifically to spicy things up? Will it produce a positive outcome? And if so, what benefits can it transport to the bedroom? If you play your cards right, it can actually be beneficial to your sex life. Here are the pros and cons to bringing liquor into the bedroom.


Increases sexual desire and arousal. Drinking alcohol increases testosterone levels in females. The male sex hormone playing a key role in sexual desire.

You’re more likely to take sexual risks. Lower inhibitions and feeling sexier and more confident. You are more likely to try that new position you’ve always wanted to try.

Activities last longer, one of the most well-known side effects of drunken sex is that it dulls sensation. For men who tend to get a little excited too fast, a few mixed drinks can really do the trick to help him “calm down” and last a little longer.


For women- It makes it harder to get wet. (when too much alcohol is consumed) When you are aroused, your body prepares for intercourse by increasing blood flow to your genitals, causing them to swell and self-lubricate. Drinking too much can stop these physiological responses and interfere with vaginal wetness.

For men- Getting hard might be difficult. (when too much alcohol is consumed) Alcohol can affect your ability to get and maintain an erection. It decreases blood flow to your penis. It increases angiotensin, a hormone linked to erectile dysfunction.

Alcohol is legal if you are twenty-one years and older in the United States. And in specific countries its legal well before the age of twenty-one. Alcohol as sexual lube? I say yes ma’am. I’m totally here for it. We just need to be keen with the quantity of alcohol that we guzzle. You know your body the best. Drunk sex can be great, but you have to be that “perfect” amount of intoxicated. Once you reach over that amount, sex is a no go. And what is the “perfect” amount? It differs to everyone contrarily. How high is your alcohol tolerance? If you know it takes you only two shots to be on the floor, then I suggest you not take two shots before having intercourse. Pay attention to how the alcohol is making you feel. Are you able to comprehend what is going on, as its going on? Is your vision becoming blurred? You do not have to be on the floor on the verge of passing out to enjoy a night of drinking with your partner. Be smart.
