I moved to LA around this time last year and start

I moved to LA around this time last year and started a new specialty working in the Pediatric Emergency Room. From being a floor nurse working on a Pulmonary unit constantly seeing trach/vented babies to now having level 1 trauma patients coming in through EMS actively doing CPR, to babies being in SVT & giving the magic drug adenosine and watching the heart cardiovert to SCAN/or NAT babies coming in 😢…the list goes on. It’s been the biggest learning opportunity for me. I’ve been a Registered Nurse since 2014, you do the math. 🙂👵🏼but the ER is where I feel at home. It’s the fast pace for me. It’s so funny bc being a floor nurse we used to talk sh*t about ER nurses and how during report they never know anything about their patients 😭💀, and look at me now I’m her. It’s not that we don’t know anything about our patients it’s we have 50 million things going on at once and it’s so fast paced we all help eachother out so I might be in a crashing patients room and haven’t visited my other patients in a minute but another nurse has. We help each other out over here. I just have so much more respect for ER nurses now🙃 anywhoooooo I’m loving this new journey for me and ready to see what else is in store. 🥳

We stayed at an all inclusive resort Rui Santa Fe, honestly there was no reason to leave the resort. Food was there it’s literally all you can eat. Drinks was there… literally it’s all the liquor you can drink no questions asked 🙃, parties were on the resort. Normally there’s a huge daily pool party but it was closed due to covid. But all the other pools made up for it and we had our own little pool party. But of course we had to do a little bit of exploring. We went down to the marina, which was about a 5-7min taxi drive. The marina had cute little stores, tons of restaurants and bars. The resort wasn’t an adults only resort, which was kind of irritating seeing little kids running around and I’m in a damn thong bikini. But hey. Whatever. On a bad note everything closed at 10pm due to covid. But of course there was some under ground places that stayed open until the wee hours of the morning 😈. Cabo doesn’t owe me anything to be honest. I’ll be back at an adults only all inclusive next time 😭

But great news ! My palette can now distinguish if I am drinking a vintage wine or not. One of the girls I went wine tasting with said “I can taste the vintage in this wine” I was completely mind blown like what the hell does “vintage” taste like! Then she proceeded to tell me it tastes a lil earthy. I tasted the wine again and instantly I tasted the “vintage” in the wine ! Y’all I’m officially a wine connoisseur ! Bye !

castaway was such a vibe ! I went for brunch on a Friday. I heard on Sundays they have a live dj. The view is enough to keep you sitting there for hours. We made sure we had a table close to the glass windows so that we could admire the view. The drinks were to die for we got the child’s play and honestly couldn’t order anything else we were so love. If you like a spicy marg then you would enjoy this drink.

The food was BOMB. I ordered the cheese board, crab cake & the salmon ! Shawty was not disappointed. I was too excited that’s why there are zero pics of the food 💀 sorry. I’m horrible. But pls make your way to @castawayburbank ! Next time I’m going at sunset. I know it’ll be beautiful vibe ! Just here to help y’all with cute la restaurant vibes !

booked these reservations months in advance. This restaurant is the definition of booked and busy, it’s so hard to get reservations & my time has finally come y’all 🥳!!! As soon as you press the elevator to rooftop it’s jaw dropping beautiful, the walkway is filled with beautiful flowers. Flowers are even hanging from the ceiling 😍 it was definitely a vibe ! Now let’s get into the food ! Everybody was ripping and raving about the crispy shrimp tossed in spicy mayo and tobiko. I’d rate it a 9/10 it was pretty darn good. The truffle fries were bomb 8/10. Now the lobster mac&cheese wasn’t too appealing to the eye but it was actually decent. I’ve had some nasty ass lobster mac before & this def wasn’t nasty I’d rate the lobster mac 7/10. Now my sister ordered the breakfast burrito & I gave it a try. It was okay. It was a basic breakfast burrito to me. I’d rate it 6/10. I definitely want to go back & try the other food options for sure.

This restaurant ain’t cheap. Get ready to spend a bag. You are most definitely paying for the experience. But I believe it was worth it I enjoyed myself! If you are ever in la @catch is def somewhere you need to stop to catch the vibe ✨
